All aspects of our business will be managed in an environmentally responsible manner, consistent with good business practices that provide a competitive return of investment and are in alignment with the principles set forth in this policy.

Adherence to all valid laws and regulations
All TELEFUNKEN Semiconductors management is responsible for ensuring that their respective operations are in compliance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations and other company requirements. Periodic review of environmental compliance will be performed.

For us the close collaboration with the authorities is most important. When selecting internal and external suppliers, customers and contractors we considerate their compliance with our environment standards.

The tradition of innovation
Thus we assess the possible environmental impact when developing new products or implementing new methods and we always strive for solutions to drive the reduction of the use of energy and material.

Continuous Improvement
The permanent improvement of the environmental sustainability of our products and production processes is part of our corporate leadership.

We orientate ourselves always at the latest technology to decrease the use of natural resources and to avoid any impact on the environment if possible.

Consequently we early broke new ground installing modern energy systems and gas generating plants.

TELEFUNKEN Semiconductors is committed to pollution prevention and will proactively seek to reduce or eliminate waste materials from all of our operations. Modifications of equipments and/or operating procedures shall be undertaken when necessary and practical to reduce the volume of industrial and solid wastes generated at source.

Recycling is another centre of our environmentally compatible production: our products can be recycled, heat exchange and process water will be recycled and will be used to a large extend in the manufacturing process.

Constant dialog with our customers, employees and the public
We inform our customers not only on the technical data of our products but also on their ingredients, on environmentally compatible usage and on the reusability of our packaging.

Appropriate programs will be developed by TELEFUNKEN Semiconductors and provided to employees to ensure an understanding of the company environmental management system. Through training and education, employees will have the opportunity to individually con-tribute to environmental resource conservation and protection.

Thus every employee is held to comply with the sustainability standards within the framework of his tasks.

Contingency plan for every site
In spite of extensive precautions and preventative measures we cannot fully eliminate failures. Therefore we have competent and appropriately equipped safety specialists for an immediate and efficient operation at our disposal.

It is our goal to always keep business disruptions under control.

Round the clock there is a team at our disposal which is undergoing a continued training on emergency management.
