Development Support
TELEFUNKEN Semiconductors provides its customers outstanding customer support as well as detailed and carefully prepared set of information and software tools. For our customers' convenience, we have established a special web server for downloading any information necessary for their circuit design development such as:
- Designer User Manual with Application Information
- Technology specific PDK´s including Monte-Carlo Simulation
- DRC, LVS Verification Files
- Digital & Analog Standard Library
- Detailed set of device characteristics
- Detailed set of WLR reliability data
Along with the downloaded data, we are also available for extensive consultation on questions of ESD, Modeling etc.
TELEFUNKEN Semiconductors has gained considerable experience and expertise in the area of ESD design, especially for high voltage and power applications. A range of ESD protection elements, specifically designed with power applications in mind, is provided and fully supported with the Process Design Kits (PDK). Furthermore, ESD specific design reviews are offered to help customers realize quality products, right at the first time. Once circuit design is completed, TELEFUNKEN Semiconductors takes care of reticle preparation, including Design Rule Checking (DRC) service and mask ordering.
Prototyping - Wafer Manufacturing
To optimize customer IC development cost, cycle time and risk management, TELEFUNKEN Semiconductors offers dedicated service in prototyping and production phases:
- Multi Layer Mask-set (MLM)
- Engineering lots (ER) with split and holding options
- ?Process Corner? lot processing and characterization
- HOT-LOT management to reduce manufacturing cycle time
- Optional wafer grinding and Polyimide top coating
Prototyping - Assembly
TELEFUNKEN Semiconductors also offers a low volume packaging service of prototypes (hand made samples) to speed up samples verification process.
Prototyping - low-cost mask set option
The Multi Layer Mask (MLM) service with four mask levels drawn on the same reticle for a single customer. The MLM service gives customers more flexibility (no fixed time schedule for lot starts) and redesign options. Minimum order is 6 wafers. The MLM is not designed for volume production.
Standard solution- for prototyping
TELEFUNKEN Semiconductors offers Engineering run (ER), where customers have their own mask set with one full reticle (size: up to 20mm by 20mm) per mask layer. This mask set can later be used as production mask set. In case of an ER, customer is required to order 15 wafers with all flexibile options. On request, we can provide ?Hot Lot? processing to meet customer requirements.
To satisfy highest reliability requirements of customers' devices, we also provides an optional wafer level Polyimide Top Coating.
All information related to production status of customer lots is available in the special on-line WIP Report up dated every hour. TELEFUNKEN Semiconductors delivers complete PCM-tested wafers.
