TS700V- A State Of The Art Sub-Micron BCD Technology Featuring A 700V Power NMOS, Is Available NOW
Telefunken Semiconductors, as a leading provider of niche analog and mixed signal process technology, today announced that TS700V, a state of the art sub-micron BCD technology featuring a 700V power NMOS, is offered as the latest technology by TS.
The unique combination of sub-micron CMOS with high voltage power electronics, and a dual metal layer option enables a new level of integration. The process offers a competitive on-resistance area product (RDSon x A) enabling cost effective integration of smart power devices.
This technology is ideal for applications such as off-line switching AC/DC converters, LED lighting, and Industrial Motor Control.
TS700V environment (PDK) provides design engineers with the ability to accelerate time to market for highly integrated, low cost, energy efficient solutions for today’s most power sensitive applications. A feature-rich device portfolio equips design engineers to optimize trade-offs when attempting to achieve stringent regulatory requirements such as Energy Star and Blue Angel.
TS 700 V is now available with appropriate NDA and already used by TS customers for designing products on this TS Technology.

TELEFUNKEN Semiconductors reached a significant milestone with SiGe power HBT
TELEFUNKEN Semiconductors announced today that they have achieved a run rate of >100 million units per year supply to their customers of high performance SiGe power ICs utilizing HBT technology. This is a significant milestone in Foundry business and validates excellent features of TELEFUNKEN’s low cost SiGe power HBT technology in comparison to high cost III-V-based (GaAs, InP, GaN) HEMT technology and market acceptance and market share gains of their technology.
TELEFUNKEN Semiconductors’ SiGe HBT process is in manufacturing in Heilbronn, Germany, since 1998. With SiGe PDKs, TS customers are able to design high performance integrated circuits with analog frequencies up to 80 GHz and sufficient power capability. Telefunken Semiconductors offers world class HICUM models for HBTs with Monte-Carlo-Simulations based on production statistics. The cost efficient high speed SiGe power technology is eminently well-suited for applications in the area of telecommunications and high-speed data transfer such as DECT™, CDMA, 5.8-GHz WLAN and power amplifier (WCDMA, 802.11, Bluetooth range extension, etc.
A volume of 100 million units per year demonstrates the manufacturing capabilities of Telefunken Semiconductors and acceptance of SiGe as the industry standard for wireless amplification.

A Long and Noble History
TELEFUNKEN has been a premier nameplate and innovator in all fields of electronics for over a century.
Founded in 1903 in Berlin, Germany the company has always been on the forefront of new technologies. Some of the greatest geniuses of 20th century electronics have been associated with TELEFUNKEN. Nikola Tesla assisted TELEFUNKEN in constructing the first wireless transmission system between North America and Europe in 1911.
Walter Bruch developed the PAL color television technology standard for the company in 1963.
TELEFUNKEN established its Heilbronn, Germany semiconductor facility in 1959. The TR 4 and TR 440 computers were initially developed by TELEFUNKEN in the late 1960's and were in use by many computing centers into the mid 1980's.
TELEFUNKEN semiconductor GmbH & Co KG continues extending this rich heritage into the 21st century in the rapidly expanding technologies of analog-mixed signal semiconductors.
